Who Created Splankna Therapy?

Splankna Therapy was developed in the late 1990s by Sarah Thiessen, a licensed professional counselor. She combined Christian faith principles with elements of Applied Kinesiology, Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET), and Thought Field Therapy (TFT) to form the Splankna protocol.  This unique integration allows practitioners to help clients access and release subconscious emotional blocks.

How Does Splankna Work?

Splankna helps identify and release unresolved emotional stress that may be contributing to anxiety, fear, or feeling stuck. It uses muscle testing to help uncover emotional root patterns and incorporates gentle correction techniques and prayer (if desired) to support emotional relief and balance.

Is Splankna Safe?

Yes, Splankna is a non-invasive, gentle process that works with your body’s natural energy system. It is prayerful and honors your free will throughout the process. This healing modality can even be practiced on children of all ages, and infants in the womb! Sessions are collaborative and respect your comfort level and beliefs at all times.  Splankna is not a substitute for medical or psychiatric care.

What Can I Expect During a Session?

Sessions typically involve: A brief discussion of your concern; Muscle testing to identify emotional blocks; Gentle tapping and forgiveness statements to release stored trauma.  Many clients report feeling calmer, clearer, and more at peace afterward.

Is Splankna Like Counseling?

No, Splankna is different from traditional talk therapy. It focuses on releasing emotional blocks from your body’s energy system, often achieving results more quickly.

The Bunny Talk Process™ is a playful, body-based emotional intelligence framework that helps children, teens, and adults process emotions safely without needing to retell or relive difficult experiences. Using simple visual metaphors, gentle eye movements, and somatic awareness, it creates a regulated space where emotions can be expressed, externalized, and released, grounded in principles of neuroscience, hypnosis, somatic processing, and trauma-informed practice.

How did Bunny Talk begin?

Bunny Talk began as a simple morning ritual between a mother and her young daughter, using hand-shadow bunnies to play, connect, and communicate. Years later, during a moment when words felt too vulnerable, the bunny became a safe way to speak indirectly, bringing noticeable emotional relief. From that experience, the structured Bunny Talk Process™ was developed, preserving the therapeutic power of safety, distance, and play.

How does Bunny Talk work?

The process creates change by prioritizing nervous system regulation, incorporating gentle anchoring techniques, soft guided eye-movement integration, clear visual metaphors, and playful language that lowers resistance. Rather than focusing on retelling the story, Bunny Talk works with the felt sense in the body, helping clients identify where they feel an emotion, externalize it safely, and shift it in a regulated and supported way.

Why use the bunny?

The bunny itself is not the point — it serves as a catalyst and simple visual bridge that creates just enough emotional distance for the nervous system to remain regulated while processing difficult feelings. When something feels too vulnerable to say directly, speaking through a symbolic representation allows the experience to be externalized and observed safely, reducing perceived threat so the system can open. As threat decreases, access increases — and change becomes gentler, more sustainable, and more lasting.

Change cannot occur when the nervous system feels threatened, so the process begins with regulation and works at the level of felt experience rather than requiring clients to retell or relive difficult events.
